East Stirling News Update
Saturday’s scheduled SPFL Scottish League Two match against Elgin city at Borough Briggs has been postponed.
The pitch failed an afternoon pitch inspection because part of the surface had become waterlogged.
Elgin City have been experiencing recent problems with drainage to a part of their pitch and this has created issues when the recent heavy rain has been factored in.
No new date has been set for this game. Shire will now have two midweek trips in the new year with the match at Arbroath, scheduled for Saturday 7th February, also off due to The Red Lichties’ involvement in the Scottish Cup fifth round.
