Pajtim Kasami’s Wonder Strike Helps Ease Pressure on Martin Jol

Pajtim Kasami’s 19th Minute equaliser in Fulham’s win at Chrystal Palace last night was not only a goal of the season contender, but may also be the goal which kick starts Fulham’s season. Defeat last night would have left them perilously close to the relegation zone and would have heaped pressure on manager Martin Jol and when they went 1-0 down after 7 minutes things dis not look good. Then Kasumi struck a volley that was as good as any seen in recent times, and Fulham’s confidence seemed to return. This was followed by an equally impressive strike by Steve Sidwell and then two further goals in the second half wrapped up a convincing 4-1 win.

With Southampton, Man Utd and Liverpool being their next three opponents this will may prove crucial and they will go into these tough games with a bit of hope. Sadly it looks like being a long hard season for Crystal Palace who have now lost 5 games in a row and their 3 points have come against the only team with a worse record than their Sunderland.
